Doab is term that used in south aisia for place between two confluent rivers. R.s mecgregor define duab ( two ( bodies) of water as mention in persion do-ab. A region that lies between and reaching to the confluenceof the two rivers espessilly Ganges and Yamuna.
Duab is a path between Ganges and Yamuna that start from Sivalik Hills and end in the confluence of two river at Prayagraj. Duab is also known as Ganges-Yamuna Doab or Ganga Doab.
Ganga duab spread around 23,360 square miles. It is 500 miles in length and 60 miles in width.

The Majha region in india covers the area Beas and Ravi rivers, also the area on the north of Sutlej, after the confluence of Beas and Sutlej river at Harike up to the Ravi River.Majha region have fourteen districts of the Pakistani province of Punjab, and the cities of Lahore, Faisalabad,Sahiwal, Gujranwala, Gujrat, and Sialkot. It consist of four districts of Indian state of Punjab Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Gurdaspur, and Pathankot.

For example, “Jach” (Jach) = Jhelum (Jhelum, “Jhelum”) + Chenab (Chenab, “Chenab”).
